FLOOR TREATMENT
BAKED CLAYS AND STONES - "OLD PROVENCE " RANGE
Preparation of a
new floor in porous stones or in baked clays |
| After drying, to get a good finish you
must remove cement efflorescences that had formed.
It is important that after the setting of porous stone or baked
clays to allow the floor to dry. The drying time depends on the room temperature
It is necessary to use: St Antoine0820 Stripper for baked clays and St Antoine0902 Concentrated rinsing solution for baked clays, rubber gloves, a sponge
or a large paintbrush.
It is important to wear rubber gloves because it is an acid product.
Application: apply St Antoine0820
Stripper for baked clays by a sponge or a large paintbrush. Allow the system to cure
for 10 to 15 minutes then, rinse with clear water. If some cement remains on the baked
clay, apply again St Antoine0820 Stripper, allow the system to cure and, scratch with a
wooden spatula.
Rinsing: rinse abundantly with water
to remove the stripper for baked clays. Then, rinse with St Antoine0902 Rinsing solution for
baked clays to avoid calcareous rings and let it dry. Pour 1 L of St Antoine0902Rinsing
solution for baked clays for 10 L of water (1 bucket). |
Preparation of an old floor
(which has been waxed or undergone other treatments) |
| This concentrated product removes old waxes and
external emulsions on baked clays, parfeuilles and other types of floors.
It is necessary to use: St Antoine0901 Superstrong cleaner for floor,
rubber gloves and, a floor cloth.
Application: it can be used undiluted or
diluted with hot water. Apply by floor cloth. If necessary use a faubert to remove all the
marks of old wax.. Then, allow the floor to dry before applying another finition.
It is important to wear rubber gloves. |
Water-proof and oil proof
treatment - Exteriors / Interiors
Baked clays - Parfeuilles - Porous stones - Slates - Conglomerate stones - Marbles |
| It protects floors, work tops and objects from
grease, oil, water, alcohol or household products stains.
It is necessary to use: St Antoine0536 Water-proof and oil -proof
treatment, a large quality paintbrush. Coverage: 8 to 10 m2
per liter.
Application: apply on a clean
floor with no marks of wax, varnish or other treatment (see preparation of the floor)
because it could cause a bad penetration of the product or a bad dry. Apply St Antoine0536
Treatment in steady crossed coats. Allow 4 hours or more drying time. Start the
process over again and allow to dry.For places exposed to the sun, a third coat is
recommended. After the last coat, alllow to dry for 24 hours to get a good polymerization
of the product.
For interiors, for the maintenance, apply St Antoine0723 Wax for baked clays or St Antoine0722 Transparent autoglazing emulsion (see paragraph Floor finition). Size: 1 L, 5 L
and, 30 L.
For exteriors, do not apply a finish but, it is recommended to start another St Antoine0536 application every year for the maintenance. |
Traditionnal treatment
Tommettes - Baked clays - Parfeuilles - Porous stones |
| It is necessary to use: St Antoine0520
Impregnationg solution for baked clays and a large quality paintbrush.
Coverage: 8 to 10 m2 per liter for the first coat and 12 to 15 m2
per liter for the other coats.
Application:apply on a clean floor with no
marks of wax, varnish or other treatments (see preparation of the floor) because it could
cause a bad penetration of the product and a bad dry. Apply by paintbrush St Antoine0520 Impregnating solution for baked clays in steady crossed layers. Allow to dry for
24 hours at room temperature of 20°C (68°F) or more if the temperature is lower.Two to
three coats with a period of time of 24 hours between them are necessary to get a good
penetration. After 8 days drying time, apply St Antoine0723 Wax for baked clays or St Antoine0722 Autoglazing emulsion (see paragraph Floor finition). Size: 1 L, 5 L and, 30L. |
Floor finition |
Wax for tommettes and parfeuilles |
| It is necessary to use: St Antoine0723
Wax for tommettes and parfeuilles, a large quality paintbrush and, a wool
rag. Colors: transparent -old red - brown. Size: 1 L and 5 L. Coverage: 15 to 20 m2
per liter.
Apply in 2 even thin coats for the first treatment. Bring it to a shine between each
coat application with a wool rag. The choice of an old red or brown allows to make a
patina. |
Transparent autoglazing emulsion wax (satine
appearance) |
| It is necessary to use: St Antoine0722
Emulsion wax, a bucket of water, a floor cloth and, a broom. Also available in red St Antoine0721. Size: 1 L, 5L and, 30L.
Apply by floor cloth.Proportion: 1 to 2 glasses of St Antoine0722 for half a bucket
of water. For the maintenance, start the process over again depending on requirement. |
Stone wall finish |
| St Antoine0525 Stone varnish
It is necessary to use: St Antoine0525 Stone varnish, St Antoine0401
Thinner, a quality paintbrush, a brush and a vacuum cleaner.Coverage:
8 to 10 m2 per liter.Size: 1 L, 5 L and 30 L.
There should be no paint or other finish on the stone. Remove the dust with a brush and
a vacuum cleaner. Apply 2 coats of varnish by paintbrush or gun spray. Apply the first
layer thinned with St Antoine0401 Thinner by paintbrush at 10% or by gun spray at 15 %.
Drying time: 24 hours depending on room temperature. Apply the second coat unthinned by
paintbrush or thinned by gunspray at 10%. Clean paintbrushes and gun spray with St Antoine0401 Thinner or White Spirit. |
