STRIPPING

It is necessary to use: St Antoine0801 Wax remover, Steel wool n° 2, a paintbrush, black rubber gloves (very important), a silver "small violin" brush.

Apply St Antoine0801 Wax remover in steady coats on small surfaces. Allow the system to cure for a few minutes. Scratch the wood with the grain with Steel wool n°2. If the furniture is very dirty start the process over again. For moldings, use a silver "small violin" brush. Apply steel wool n°2 with no wax remover following  the natural wood grain.

This product does not lift wood grains and does not remove the patina.

It is necessary to use: 0802 Stripper in gel form, a spatula, Steel wool n°2, a paintbrush, a steel "small violin" brush, black rubber gloves (very important), safety goggles. It is very important to wear black rubber gloves because 0802 Stripper is a very strong product which contains methylene chloride that  can burn the skin.

Apply 0802 Stripper by brush in thick even coats. Allow to dry for 5 to 15 minutes depending on the product to be stripped. Remove the coat of paint or varnish with a spatula. Start the process over again if necessary. For moldings, use a steel "small violin" brush. For the finish use Steel wool n° 2. 0802 Stripper can be rinsed with water. It is recommended for furniture that will be given another patina to rinse the stripper with varnishing alcohol or 0838 Cleaning thinner.

GAP FILLING (for holes and slats)

It is necessary to use: St Antoine0607 Putty, a spatula, Decoration clays.

Gap filling must be done on a dry and dust free wood. There are several colors of 0607 Putty. It also can be tinted with water dyes or decoration clays such as burnt Sienna clay.... This must be done before the addition of the hardener ( 1 coffee grain of hardener for 1 spoon of putty).

After its application and polymerization, rub the wood.

REMOVAL OF INK, TANIN AND RUST STAINS

It is necessary to use: St Antoine0833 or St Antoine0803 Enlightener, a paintbrush and, black rubber gloves.

The wood must be stripped, rubbed down and dust free. Apply St Antoine0803 Enlightener on the stain. Start the operation again if necessary. Rinse 2 or 3 times with water and rub with a thin glass paper.

DYES

It is important that the wood must be dry, rubbed down, dust free and not greasy (do not apply under sun exposure).

It is necessary to use: a brush, a sponge, 010 Water dye or 110 Solvent dye which exist in several colors (see Catalogues).

All the dyes are intermixable. Can be thinned with water.

Apply the dye abundantly with a brush following the natural grain. Then, apply the dye with a sponge. Allow to dry. Sand following the natural wood grain with a thin glass paper.

If  you want to apply a treatment on the furniture, do it before the application of the solvent dye. All the dyes are intermixable and can be thinned with a transparent solvent dye.

Apply the solvent dye by brush following the natural wood grain. Apply the dye by sponge. After 1 hour drying time, you can apply all kinds of finish.

INSECTICIDAL TREATMENT

It is necessary to use: St Antoine0701 Treatment, a "Queue de Morue" paintbrush.

Apply St Antoine0701 Treatment on a polished or water tinted furniture following the natural wood grain. Apply abundantly inside and outside,in the bottom and in the back where grubs form. Allow 8 hours drying time.

RENOVATION OF  POLISHED FURNIITURE

It is necessary to use: St Antoine0704 Reconditionner (which exists in different colors), a varnishing cloth

This product must be applied only on polished furniture. It gives back colors to polished furnitures bleached by the sun or with water marks. Apply a varnishing cloth impregnated with St Antoine 0704 Reconditionner following the natural wood grain. Start the process over again if necessary. After 1 hour drying time, polish with 0001 Wax.
